    Default Ufl?

I'll be honest when I 1st heard that their was going to be a new football league forming called the "UFL' I was immediately negative and doubtful and compared it to the disasterous XFL 1 year wonder. But after listening to ALOT of Sports radio about this new league forming, I'm starting to have a completely different outlook on it.

One of the ?'s asked was "Would the UFL be Friend or Foe to the NFL"? The answer given surprised me. They went on to say the UFL will have a lot of the same rules of the NFL. Coaches and players going in have walked away from long careers with the NFL. They see and like where it (UFL) is going and it will be a place where somebody whose 26-27 and that was previously selected in the 3rd or 4th round and has seen minimal playing time and have not truly been given the option to show their worth because a high caliber player holds that position. Few years goes by another draft comes and you end up getting cut to make room to sign the Rookies that are now coming in. You know you can still play and yet, your out of a job in the NFL.

The UFL will give these players who have a "chip in their shoulder" to play.
There is already talk of 3 more teams on top of the 4 that are aready there coming in along with finacial backers to come and back them up.

If this is successful a lot of smaller cities/states (population) such as Portland, Oregon, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Boise, Idaho Las Vegas, Nevada and so on etc...a chance to have Profeesional Football. And if enough teams come in you just may see the beginning of a formation of minor league football (equivilant to MLB AAA and the MLB Majors).

The NFL would have more options to pick from to get the best players around th world whether it is NFL Europe, Canadian Football, NCAA and UFL. Now I am going a little over board here. But if it happens to go this way you may see the NFL completely elimanting the Pre-season and if they wanted to they could go to a 20 game season. (Since they already play 20 Games 16 regular games + bye week and 4 Pre-season games).

I know there is WAY TOO MANY varibles and things that need to take place and happen. But the UFL (as it develops) could very well go hand in hand and compliment the NFL

Imagine if Your Favorite Team happens to have a minor league team you could go from a 52 man roster to a 104 man roster (obviously 52 for which league you are in) Seattle could have certainly benefited from this last year as their entire Starting WR and OL corps went onto IR and 3 different QB's started in at least 2 games.

Feel free to add anything, whether you are in favor of the UFLor not-It is coming.
