    Default Most Dissapointing Teams

Over the years, we have seen some great teams just not play up to their abilities. Here is some of mine

    Dallas:
How in the world do you have talent like they do with Williams, Owens, Barber, Choice, Jones, Witten, Ware, and hell I'll give Newman a boost do you go 8-8 and for the past 3-4 years not make it past the 1st post-season game? That is the enigma that is the dallas cowboys. So much talent, not much...something. Everything was there, and is even still there and somewhat better in certain spots. Dallas always had it...just never did enough to get it, and that is major dissapointing. Point fingers at anybody you wanna (coaches, T.O., Romo, Manager) but hell, Dallas always been the big engine that can but didnt as the little engine that could (Titans) did.

    Bears:
How the hell do you go from Superbowl contenders to bums? The bears were on top of the world in 05. 1st Superbowl since '85, Urlacher was the most bad ass MLB along with the help of Lance, and their D-Line was feared throughout the nation with good secondary. They had a good O-line and the great Thomas Jones. However, in 07, their defense was a laughing stock, QB horrible, RBs were trash with a horrible passing defense. Now, the Defensive line is not even the thought of scary aside from Tommie Harris, and Urlacher is losing his touch. They did sing Tinoisamoa (spellcheck) and get a new DT, but their secondary is next to garbage now. they went from 10-6 to about 7-9/8-8 and they did get a Workhorse RB but what else?... They need major reform, starting with the replacement of the secondary and O-line. Then they might go 10-6 again.

    Broncos
Defesively, they could have been feared. Bly and Bailey could have been the dream team CB duo. Offesively, they could have brought trouble. Marshall and Walker could have wreaked havoc on any Secondary. Their RB's could have stayed healthy, and hell, they could have been to the playoffs consecutively if i remember correctly. Hell, I'll even go as far as to say that Cutler, not Young, could be Rookie of the Year..But they didn't, and he is not.

    Any others I missed?

What is your reason for saying GB. Is it because of Favre-That to me doesn't seem like it would fit with your reasoning

Minnisota is a little more understandable. They picked up Nobody at QB who is worth anything heading into the future. Even if Favre likely comes back-is a 1 year wonder really worth the risk. QB is the only area of concern I see as far as disappointment may go. I'm just wondering if ther's anything else that you see that I don't?

    Jacksonville, I couldn't agree more!

Well, I am not sure why Dallas hasn't been able to put it together-Because no matter what excuse anybody uses, there is no excuse

The Bronco's on the other hand-if you had to write a textbook of "what NOT to do"-They'd be the team to watch (GM's and Coaches-Future or Present-Watch and Learn-I can gaurentee somebody in the front office will be gone by the end of this season).

Now, Chicago!!! That one I'm not sold on. They went out and got talent at QB-which was desperately needed there. Defensively they should be in the at minimum the top 10 to 15 Defensese. Jay Cutler is a playmaker-I just can't see him not performing. There is still talent at WR in Free Agency and who knows Even in DENVER. To be honest I expect to See the NFC North a tough Division-minus Detroit. They'll at least make the Wild-Card.

Green Bay went 6-10 last year. They usually blew it in the 4th quarter. Now they are changing defensive formations. Last year was a disaster after going 13-3

Although Chicago did get a playmaker QB in Jay Cutler, who does he have to throw to? Hester? Other than TEs, the Chi has no WRs. Unless someone breaks out of the pack as a reliable guy or Cutler lures in Brandon Marshall, I see his production. Then again, who knows. Bennett's in his 2nd year and they did draft Iglesias...if that helps
