  1. Jeffery lee says:

I have a Question. why havent you made it possible to use created plays on the franchise mode and will it be avaliable for the madden 2010.

  2. Pedro Martinez says:

why on madden 2010 the ratings for the players are lower that will just make the game suckish.im probably just going to buy ncaa NOT MADDEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Blaze Whiteside says:

I agree with Pedro madden this year will be suckesh well acually more than suckesh the think there making it more real and fun but there just making it more SUCKESH!!!!!!!!

  4. George Cambell says:

the ratings for the players are going down that really sucks

  5. Kyle travis says:

These ratings are terrible. I believe the most outragous one was Philip Rivers. 89? How is he 89 and Peyton Manning is 99? Philip Rivers beat Manning in almost every stat. Philip had more TDs, more yards a better passer rating… Peyton did have more picks though. And the Chargers pass protection was awful, and had no help with the running game. The Colts had a good group of wide recievers, and a great offensive line. I would understand if they were only 1 rating point away, but 10? I give Rivers a 95 and Manning a 94.

  6. Bezz21 says:

Guys, Guys! take it easy… the reason the ratings are lower than usual make it so that when a player has a good season their ratings will go up more than usual. It’s based on the skills of the player right now, but in the game it isn’t as much of a deal as you might think.

  7. Lip Jones says:

Okay first of all, Kyle, there is NO way that Philip Rivers should be rated higher than Peyton Manning. I agree that 89 is a little low but still, its Peyton. How is it that every year, no matter how much time and effort they put into these ratings, that they mess up so badly? I mean, look at Will Allen, he has been a starter since he has entered the league and has been one of the most underrated corners for a few years now. All of a sudden a Rookie comes in and without even playing a snap in the NFL, has a higher rating than a 8 year starter? Or how is that a Pro Bowl RB who was the triggerman of one of the most innovative formations in football in years cant even break into the 90’s? I dont know how these people determine these ratings, but they definitely need to tweak their method of going about it.

  8. Rey Bonilla says:

My biggest problem is all my WR’s speed dropped, I use the 49ers’s, and I uderstand that Crabtree didn’t run a 40 so I don’t have a problem with his speed, But Jason Hill was the fastest guy in the combine with a 4.3 40 time in his draft class, and now his speed is in the mid 80’s. Same thing with Josh Morgan. My team sucks as it is…now I have to deal with a bunch of slow WR’s.

  9. kasimere edwards says:

I agree, they really messed up with the saints, how is it that our defense got better by pickin up darren shaper, malcolm jenkins and jabriee greer n not to mention a new coach n greg williams n our defense is worst than last year. We all know that marcus colston is a good receiver, how is it his rating is only a 87. Y is devry henderson speed is now a 95 from a 98. I kno robert meachem haven’t proved himself, but how as a rookie madden had his rating around a 76, he proved that he’s a deep ball threat with drew brees n now he’s a 56 overall rating. Tracy porter speed also went down when he ran a 4.3 at the combine, so his speed went from a 94 to 87. Come on madden. Everybody know johnathn vilma is a dog why is his rating only a 87. An jeremy shockey overall is now a 80. The saints as a team overall went from a 89 to a 74, its impossible that a team gets better but madden makes them worst. I hope a update is sent as soon as we get the game

  10. dwill says:

you guys are just mad casue the people you like dont have the ratings you want just changed them like you always do when you get the game like bezz said its so there is room for improvement Rivers almost beat marino record and he can still improve that means it is more real iam a texans fan and my team sucks but compared to the rest of the league there about averge which is correct besides if they go back to the old way half to people in the game would be in the 90’s the ratings are base on the rest of the league 90% of the WR and DB in the NFl run around a 4.4 they cant make the fast on the game when compared to everyone else its averge

  11. biglamb says:

Actually it was Brees that almost beat Marino’s record

  12. alex says:

they lowerd the speed and rating so that other players could shine in the game so that way average to below average WR’s dont beat out the top CB’s in the game…. it makes sence so that way it means something now if u have a stud player on offence or defence…. u guys need stop ur bitching already

  13. dwill says:

it was him my bad but iam sure everyone get the point now

  14. Rory says:

Every players ratings dropped not just your fav players. They are trying to make the superstars stand out from the average players. Now you wont be able to just look at the speed rating of a player to determine how good they are. Don’t Bitch untill you play the game. Im just glad you guys aren’t doin the ratings cause you thought that Rivers was the one that almost broke Marino’s record. LOL

  15. YoungN says:

The ratings dont even matter is you play good sound fundamental football that somewhat parallels to the offensive and defensive schemes that correspond with your teams you should be fine. Im a raiders fan and i play with the raiders all day and i be havin JaMarcus look like Brady in the pocket just by playing smart football, the numbers are just numbers like they always have been

  16. Rory says:

JaMarcus look like Brady?? LOL Not happenin. You might make a good play with him sometimes but i would still dominate you anyday.

  18. nygmen says:

i honestly dont agree with ANY of these ratings, especially the giants.NICKS IS 76? he should be at least 80.and Boss is 83?HELL NO! i TRULY DO HOPE that the ratings will be changed as thee season progreses as some of you say..

  19. tycutta says:

The Saints should be better this year without an doubt. Everybody on the Saints ranking should have been better except Jeremy shocky. I hope this Madden game be better than the rankings indicate.

  20. Jrock says:

ratings dont matter if everyones went down so shut the hell up.your teams suck anyway

  21. Steele says:

I have to say i dont care for the ratings, but if the roster stuff is the same as madden 09 than im fine, and if the creators made it so that peoples stats go up more than thats awesome. I do however have a problem with the steelers defense… I understand that my teams offense wasnt superb this year but the defense was the best. Possibly the best ever, and that brings me to my point. They should be alot better honestly ive seen other defenses better and thats a load of crap because the steelers did the best. other than that though i like it. i also hope people can change the controls, i hate these ones, i like madden 09 controls.

  22. Steele says:

I got one more problem… whoever made the Patriots better than the Steelers is an idiot. Sorry… its blunt but honestly 10-6 or 12-4… now which ones better… k do the math. honestly you gotta be kiddin me.

  23. RPerez says:

well actually if you go on the official madden site, under ea sports, those should be the correct team ratings. It has the superbowl champs with the best rating, then the cards. Pats are 3rd. Now looking at the player ratings, alot of people are down because there are so many more ratings per player. You no longer have just THA Throwing accuracy. Its short, medium and long accuracy. i believe drew brees has the best in those catorgories, but overall QB is still peyton. Just go there and look around, they got my panthers around 84-86 overall as a team. Not bad i guess. Lastly madden used to be about speed. now just because someone is fast doesnt mean they are good players. now that the speed has been adjusted its makes those great corners even better. Ever had a star receiver not be able to get open on a streak even with 97 speed. Being guarded by a rookie who has 95 speed, and the corners seems faster. Im sure they tried to fix that.

  24. biglamb says:

Actually RPerez, you are wrong, maybe you need to go look again. Pats have a higher rating than the Steelers and that is straight from the EA site. Matter of fact there are a few teams that come before the Cards. Next time get your shit straight, I don’t report BS on this site.

  26. OnSolidRock says:

The problem w/the ratings appears to be that they lowered a considerable number of players, yet kept many of them at high levels. How are so many DBs w/mid-80 speed going to keep up w/glitchers running flies with Bernard Berrian or Percy Harvin?!? It’s not that realistic because the stars already stood out, and now they’re gonna blow out [their competition]. Last year’s Madden was the most ‘Defensive-friendly’ that I’ve seen in years. Why mess w/it?

  27. Tray All Day says:

Rating really doesn’t matter in madden…EA says the samething every year n the same shot keeps happens…unawared & unskilled players in madden act & makes big plays just like the superstars which is fake …watch when u play madden 10. When u see a 67 overall guy hold on too ball when he hit in mid air… Or a 67 qb throw beautiful 60yd td pass on the run….rating means nothing, ea is just selling last year game with crappy pro-tak and new rating system!!! …but hey umma still buy it cuz I enjoy playing it lol werid.. N I have no clue y A.Pierce is only 86 smh…he’s our qb on defense!!!!!

  28. OnSolidRock says:

Can’t really agree that the weak players are making many big plays. Not in last year’s PS3 version at least. I experienced “far less” glitching and cheezeball last year than I ever have. In fact, last season was one of the best chances someone ever had of landing an honest shutout. And when they lowered VY’s (Titans) QB rating to about 69 or so overall, he wasn’t making consistent big plays so much as he was making far more bad plays and bad throws. The worst thing about last season was how they would make the QB cover the ball and duck down at the line-of-scrimmage before a scramble. Based on the Demo, I think that’s over with. Last year’s PS3 Madden might have been the best since ‘05 or ‘93.
