The latest roster update for Madden NFL 10 was posted today. I went down what they have posted and noticed on error right off.
Marc Colombo – IR
This is untrue. His status is as such.
OT Marc Colombo – ankle (11/15) Colombo had surgery to repair ligaments after suffering a high ankle sprain against the Packers. He also fractured his fibula. There’s a chance Colombo could return this season, but he will miss at least several more weeks. Doug Free has replaced him in the starting lineup.
The current players are.
Injured Reserve:
LB Brandon Williams (torn ACL)
LB Stephen Hodge (knee)
I made comparisons to other players and do not see this. This seems to be the only one. Unless the team puts him on IR why is EA doing it?
This may be small or maybe how that’s how they handle it so you won’t play that player. First time I ever noticed it to be honest. This brings up another issue that should be look at in future releases. I am starting to notice a trend here. First we rarely get the updates and now they starting to make other mistakes. If anyone else notices anything else please feel free to contact me.

The word is EA Sports is taking 3 weeks off from any type of roster update. The next update isn’t scheduled until Nov. 20th. This is disappointing news for the Madden community. Consistent roster updates have been among the most important thing for players who not only play Madden but follow the NFL and not that seems to be gone.

The Madden NFL 10 roster update #8 is due out late today or tomorrow. There was no update last week so this is a big roster update for the game.
A few players I noticed that had some major moves were Jabari Greer from 80 to 84, Jermon Bushrod 69 to 77, Brandon Merriweather 82 to 88. Sidney Rice after some great performances has also jumped from 77 to 82. One more I might mention is Austin Miles, personally I think this cat got the shaft only moving up from 76 to 80. This guy sets the single game receiving record for the Dallas Cowboys Franchise (10 rec, 250 yds, 2 TD’s) and then goes back out the next week and lays out for 6 rec, 171 yds, and 2 TD’s. This is just a great example of what a lot of people complain about that some players get great bumps while others get barely touched.
Well enough with that and onto the updates.
