Madden NFL 10 Roster Update Schedule

As many of you know the roster updates have not been as frequent as last year. EA has released a schedule for the rest of there roster updates for Madden NFL 10. Below is what is planned for the rest of the year.

Week 14: Friday December 11, 2009.

Wild Card Weekend: Friday January 8, 2010

Super Bowl Weekend: Friday February 5, 2010

This year has been a disappointment to say the least compared to the roster updates last year. This year especially with so many changes and injuries through out the year. All we can do is hope for the best next year at this point.

Madden NFL 10 Patch 2 Details

I am dedicating today’s blog post to VY. Last night’s victory over Arizona was one of the most impressive 2 min drives I have ever seen. Now onto the Madden NFL 10 Patch details.

EA Sports has released more details on the 2nd patch for Madden NFL 10. Of course no release date has been included for this patch.

Some more updates that we have made based on the community feedback center around Replays. We’ve doubled the amount of time a replay could be recorded so longer plays, such as kick/punt returns or long interception/fumble returns would not have the beginning part of the play cut off. We have also increased the frequency of Auto Instant replays (especially after touchdowns), based on your feedback that told us they weren’t appearing enough. Other updates include reducing the number of times the Chain Gang Measurement scene will trigger during the game and extending the time that we are in postplay by 2 seconds to give more time for the presentation of certain shots to finish before being cut off too early. The user will still of course be able to button through these if they want.

Gillette Champions Of Gaming – Madden NFL 10

Champions of Gaming for Madden 10 starts in less that two days. If you haven’t checked it out now would be a good time to get going on this.

How to Play:

From the “Champions of Gaming” Menu Item under the “Madden Competition” Menu select the “Ranked Quickmatch” or “Lobby Rooms” Menu Item. Only Ranked games will apply towards the Leaderboard and be counted in the Tournament. To play a game from the Lobby you must select a Lobby Room and challenge another Player to a game who is in that Lobby Room, or accept a challenge from within that Lobby Room. When an opponent is found, you will need to pick a team, follow the matchmaking prompts, and play. Players may track their rankings on the Madden NFL 10 Champions of Gaming Tournament Leaderboard.

Madden USFL Online Franchise (PS3) Winner – Season 1

Season 1 for Madden USFL (PS3) has come to an end. We would like to congratulate coflboomersooner for his Super Bowl victory and he will be taking home the Sony PSP 3000. Overall this was a very successful season for Madden USFL. We thank all the owners who participated so far. Season 2 will be starting soon. Good luck to everyone.

MaddenFans.com Downtime

We seemed to run into little issue with our server yesterday morning about 11am cst that caused MaddenFans.com to be down for almost 24 hours. This was a hardware failure that has been corrected and we should not see any more downtime. We have been with the same host for over 4 years with various websites and I can tell you now this is the first time we have had such an issue. I do apologize to the community.

Madden Ultimate Team

Gamespot has announced Madden Ultimate Team for Madden NFL 10.

I’d like to take complete credit for Madden Ultimate Team, but I know better than that. Ever since the From the Bleachers days–heck, ever since EA Sports released its collectible card feature back in UEFA Champions League 2006-2007–I’ve been clamoring for just such a card feature to make its way to other EA Sports games, and I’ve hardly been alone in that regard. Soon, those requests will be answered with Madden Ultimate Team, an upcoming feature update to Madden NFL 10 that mixes trading card collecting with fantasy football. And best of all? It’s free.
